Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Stigo Digital Agency processes personal data when you use the free Stigo GEO Scan. The scan is a lead-generation service: you submit a public website and email address, Stigo runs an automated GEO audit and sends the report by email.

Who is responsible for your data?

Stigo Digital Agency is the controller for the personal data processed through this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact us by email.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the free Stigo GEO Scan and quote requests on this website. It does not replace the privacy policy of Stigo's main website or of any third-party website that you ask us to scan. Only submit a website that you own, manage or are otherwise allowed to request an audit or quote for. If you do not provide the requested details, we cannot run the audit, send the report or follow up on your quote request.

What data we process

We keep the forms deliberately limited. The data we process depends on whether you only visit the page, submit the audit form or send a quote request.

  • Data you submit

    For the audit form: website URL, normalized URL, domain name, email address, selected language, consent submitted with the form, and timestamps for the request and report. For the quote form: first and last name, email address, website, company or category, requested services, selected language and request timestamp.

  • Audit and report data

    Public website content and technical signals needed for the audit, including crawlability checks, metadata, structured data, llms.txt or robots.txt findings, the GEO score, category scores, recommendations, fetched timestamps and an internal scan CSV.

  • Technical and security data

    Request metadata such as IP address, headers, timestamps, rate-limit events, server logs and error logs, used to operate the service and prevent abuse.

  • Email delivery data

    Report email and quote request content, sender and recipient email addresses, delivery metadata, message identifiers and PDF attachment data needed to send messages and troubleshoot delivery.

Why we use the data

We use personal data only for the purposes below.

  • Run the scan and send the report

    We process the URL, website signals and email address to perform the audit you requested and deliver the report. Legal basis: your consent and steps taken at your request before a possible service relationship.

  • Relevant follow-up

    We may contact you personally about the scan result, your quote request or relevant Stigo services. Legal basis: Stigo's legitimate interest in following up on a requested business audit or quote request. You can object at any time. We do not add you to a newsletter without a separate opt-in.

  • Security and abuse prevention

    We validate URLs, block private or unsafe targets, apply rate limits, keep operational logs and investigate misuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and reliable.

  • Administration and legal obligations

    We may retain limited records where needed for accounting, evidence of consent, dispute handling, compliance and legal obligations.

Who receives the data

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the scan, deliver the report or follow up on quote requests.

  • Vercel

    Hosts the Next.js website and API routes, processes request metadata and operational logs.

  • Google Cloud Run and Firebase Firestore

    Runs the audit worker and stores the internal lead and scan record when lead capture is enabled.

  • Resend

    Sends report emails and quote requests and processes email delivery metadata.

  • The submitted website

    When the audit fetches public pages, the submitted website's server or analytics tools may log the scan request.

International transfers

Some providers are internationally operated. If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on contractual safeguards, data-processing agreements and transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where required.

How long we keep data

Audit lead records, quote requests and scan artifacts are kept for up to 24 months after the last relevant contact, unless we need them longer for legal obligations, dispute handling, security investigation or accounting. We delete or anonymize data sooner when it is no longer needed or when a valid deletion request applies. Operational logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service.

Cookies and tracking

This scan app does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. Strictly necessary technical processing for language routing, security, form submission and service operation may still occur.

Automated score

The GEO score and recommendations are generated automatically from public website signals. This does not create a legal or similarly significant decision about you. Any commercial follow-up is handled by Stigo, not by an automated decision system.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you can exercise the following rights where the legal conditions are met:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of data that no longer needs to be kept;
  • ask us to restrict processing in certain cases;
  • receive data you provided in a structured format where applicable;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing follow-up;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

Questions or requests

Email info@stigo.be if you want to exercise a privacy right, object to follow-up, withdraw consent or ask a question about this policy. We may ask for information needed to verify your request.
